Visualization in scientific computing is widely applied in the fields of scientific research and engineering technology and so on. It is a technology with broad prospects for development. Through the visualization in scientific computing, the potential characteristic and rule of data is found by people, thus scientific research and design optimization are completed much better. It is of great important to explore the applications of data processing and analysis by researching deeply of visualization in scientific computing.The visualization algorithm and applications of scalar field and vector field are mainly researched based on summarizing the existed technology of visualization in scientific in computing. At first, the used basic grids dates structure and interpolate algorithm of date preprocessing are analyzed by visualization in scientific computing. Then, the implementation and applications of the visualization algorithm are introduced in the scalar field and vector field.In the technology of scalar field visualization, one-dimensional serial data visualization, the contour algorithm of two&three-dimensional scalar data, the contouring fast filled method based on the OpenGL graphic primitive, and the filled method based on the pixel are separately detailed.In the vector field visualization, this paper mainly aimed at two research directions: vector field visualization based on geometry and the texture. The arrows plots of the vector field data, the colored streamlines based on triangular and quadrilateral grid in two-dimensional surfaces and tetrahedral grid in three dimension space, the stream surfaces and the particle tracking algorithm based on tetrahedral grid in three dimensional space. In addition, the LIC algorithm based on texture is improved at different angles. The new method is greatly upgraded in the image quality and generation speed and so on, and strengthened the texture image expression of the vector field through the texture animation.At the end of this paper, the implementation of the interactive visualization system structure, interactive function and specific function are introduced. Through the practical application, the data result of visualization system is exact, which can meet the demand of the customers. Some visualization algorithms in the scientific computing are applied in the finite element analysis system, and it achieved the satisfied effect after being packaged.
