License Plate Dynamic Recognition

License plate recognition is a classic recognition.But people always study static vehicle photo which is taken at the near distance which need the vehicle through at a low speed or stop.Single photo can only give limit information, and the recognition result close depend on the qualiS: 40 00-6-1 Sty of the photo.This paper which base on the static License plate recognition try to take the advantage of more information of image sequence. This method fully use the time between the appearance and recognition by distribute some recognition works to that time period.When the vehicle appear, recognition system is triggered, and 3 sequence photos is taken, then subtraction operation is taken on them to locate the vehicle plate sub-area. In the following frames, the recognition system will track the plate sub-area untill the size of the plate sub-area fit to recognize, then plate sub-area will be processed to recognize.Because this method reduce the search area of plate and improve the method of plate location, the time of recognition is reduced , and so increase the veracity of plate recognition.This method also can extend the application of plate recognition.For example, we can use this system to process the record tape which are recorded by the video camera installed at road acrossing to realize vehicle auto check, statistic and analyze.
