Development Of Graduate Employment Management Information System Based On C/S And B/S Architectures

The development of Graduate employment management information system (MIS) is an important part in updating MIS of the Graduate School. Some important development methods of MIS are compared and used to fit the actual development circumstance of the Graduate School. The design of database is based on the theory of relational database system. The ways of maintaining integrality of database and using transaction in multiple table access to guarantee the consistency and recoverability of database are discussed in the thesis. BDE and ADO are used to connect different server. SQL statements are generated dynamically to provide user with more flexible and effective combined query and indefinite query. Some ways to improve maintainability and flexibility of the system are also discussed. In the B/S architecture, data connections and data commands are reused in ASP pages. The security characteristics of Windows NT/2000 and IIS, and Roles mechanism of SQL Server are used to guarantee the security of Web database. To add MIS with capacity of decision supporting, the way to update OLTP system by Data Warehousing on the platform of MS SQL Server 7.0 are discussed. As an example, the developing procedure and data structure models of a Data Mart for students recruiting are given.
