This paper describes a computer telecontrol and telemetering system which main purpose is to realize automatic monitor of pressure of powered supports in fully mechanized coal face .This monitoring system is composed of underground part and ground part .The ground part includes a computer ,a printer and a ground receiving mainframe .The underground part includes electric source ,a communication extension ,some pressure extensions and sensors. Pressure extensions monitor pressure of powered supports on real time. The communication extension tests round every pressure extension and sends data to the ground receiving mainframe which temporarily memorizes and checks up the data and then sends the data to the computer . At last the computer processes the data and outputs reporting tables , curves and analyzes the results .The communication between the underground communication extension and the ground receiving mainframe of the monitoring system uses RDS transmitting technology which has high transmitting efficiency and strong antijamming ability. The communication between the communication extension and every underground pressure extension uses RS-485 interface. In a word ,this system is a typical distributed computer monitoring system.. Supervisors on the ground can know real working conditions of all powered supports in fully mechanized coal face at any time. Modernization of management on the ground to powered supports is realized by using this system . This paper describes the structure and working principle, software and hardware design of the system.
