Private Key Management Study In PKI Framework

Since Whitfield Diffie and Martin E. Hellman firstly brought forward public key cryptography in their New Direction in Gryptography in 1976, public key cryptography has developed rapidly and so has Public Key Infrastructure.In today's PKI framework, public keys are maintained by CA through issuing digital certificate while private keys are maintained by Key Escrow Agent. This paper, from the point of view of user, analyses the disadvantages of private key management provided by KEA or local area and then brings forward a new private key management technology in view of Key Escrow. In this way, we can manage private keys securely and effectively.Having deeply studied the private key management, the author designs a private key management system in this paper. The, author also analyses the risks of the process of private key management from the point of view of system and puts forward the method of decreasing the risk to the extreme extent.
