Aiming at problems in polishing the stainless steel mould with curved surface, according to the electrolytic theory, the new process combining electrolytic non-woven abrasive polishing with CAD/CAM technology is presented. The precision is ensured through CAD/CAM technology. Being tested, the efficiency is improved and the roughness of mould can be reduced.I-DEAS is used in CAD/CAM technology. The traditional post-processing of this software describes curves by many points, so mass storage system is needed. We rewrite and compile the post process. Using this new post process, a small NC process can be obtained. As the rigid polishing tool cannot adapt to the curved surface, it is difficult in the magnetic electrolytic abrasive polishing for gaining an excellent surface. According to the characteristic of electrolytic abrasive polishing, a new soft abrasive slices are made, which can improve the coincidence to the curved surface. The wearing quality and water permeability are excellent, and the effects of the slices are tested. The process of electrolytic abrasive polishing and theory and making method of the slices are introduced and studied in this paper. At the same time, how to rewrite and compile the post-processing of I-DEAS in CAD/CAM technology is described.
