As for LAN, it demand high reliability, maintainability, excellent contrast of performance and price, flexible configuration, convenience centralized management, expansibility, the maximum protection of past investment, and convenience maintenance of communication security; every department is kept relatively independent by division of VLAN; LAN connects the WAN.The article particularly discusses Ethernet technologies, Virtual LANs technology, Layer3 Switching technology, Voice over IP technology, and Active Server Pages technology, and introduces technologic details such as topological structure of the whole network, assignment of IP address, choice and configuration of routers and switchers, and the concrete accomplishment and configuration of Layer3 switching. Thearticle discusses in detail the configuration of router voice module and relative technologic parameter and standard. In addition, it provides network topological figure and consequence of test and so on. At last, in LAN it is developed that online examination system by using ASP technology that examines work situation of each one in local department in order to achieve effective management.
