The development of the technique of laser-illuminated imaging system is based on the study of the active infrared imaging.The near-infrared laser is lamp-house in such system; the detection on the object can be performed in various nights such as rainy, snowy and hazy so on. It is the laser beam illuminates on the object when detection happened and CCD camera takes photos of that. In the light of such technique the ability of detection on object will be greatly improved and the distance of detection of that will be certainly farther than before. Yet the detection was performed in the atmosphere, and it was an extremely complicated medium composed of many kinds of components, when laser beam penetrates such medium, severe scattering and absorbing will be exerted on the proper beam by the atmosphere molecules or aerosol etc. Further more, different extents of absorbing will be exerted on the different laser beam by different qualitative particles. Accordingly, the study on the characteristic of penetration of laser beam through the atmosphere is significant basis in choosing laser lamp-house and the receiver of light signals (i.e. CCD), Light signals from the object is covered by Relay scattering When laser beam penetrates through the atmosphere. So the technique of range gate has been used in such system. Finally, we choose the proper CCD camera by the analysis or the calculation of the characteristic of the atmosphere, the reflection rate from the object, the dexterity of CCD camera and so on.
