The Research And Design Of Computer Aided Instruction System For Railway Location Course

With the continuous development of modern science and technology, computers in teaching is playing an increasingly important role, because of its large memory capacity, computing speed, multimedia capability and a variety of presentation characteristics, computer increasingly become an excellent teaching tool and assistants, computer aided instruction (CAI) as a product of changes in traditional teaching methods have become one of the most popular teaching modes among students, but look at the existing computer-aided-instruction systems, there always has some flaws and shortcomings, could not fully meet the learning needs of students, from the learner point of view, this paper describes the theoretical basis of computer-aided-instruction, development history, new ideas and new technologys emerged in the history and its features, applications, combined with the "Railway Location Design" course own characteristics raises the software needs to adapt to teaching practice and describes the key algorithms to achieve these requirements, finally develops software using these ideas and tested it.This paper divides Computer-aided-instruction into four parts:classroom instruction, after-school exercises, computer exam system and paper automatic generation, defines the basic rules of database storage, creats the user interface to present knowledge, subject description, and get answers submitted by the students to the questions, designs a keyword-based method for the computer to determine right or wrong of the answers submitted by the students, improves an existing randomized algorithms which used to extract questions from the database, based on the above ideas and methods, use Access as data storage tools, ADO as the interface to the database, develops the classroom teaching module, examination by the computer module and paper automatic generation module etc using, the programming language called Visual Basic, at the last, integrates these modules together by a method named authorization control.Verified by the actual operation, the program can achieve the desired functionality, and obtained good results.
