LD Pumped Yb-doped Double-cladding Fiber Laser

Laser Diond (LD) pumped fiber laser and the theoretical and technical research pertaining to these are the currently main developing direction in the area of laser . Some theoretical and experimental study closely around the characteristics of fiber laser has been made in this thesis. The main achievements of this dissertation are as follows:(1) The developing process of fiber laser and its international developing state now are summarized which make the choices of the subject of this thesis meaningful .The main characters and developing trends of fiber lasers are also point out.(2) The new developed cladding -pumped method in LD pumped fiber laser area are analogized with a little more emphasis.(3) The basic structure and principle of fiber laser are explained , at the same time the specific energy structure and spectrum structure of Yb3+ are subscripted.(4) The experimental study has been made to fulfill a task "LD-pumped Yb3+ -doped double-cladding fiber laser".(5) Staring from the rate-equation theory , according to the field distribution function ,some simple mathmatical simulations are made which meet the experiment better.
