Identity Authentication Based On Biscrete Logarithms In Distance Education System

With the popularization and the wide application of computer network, network security becomes a serious problem. User authentication, which is a technology to confirm the truth of user's allegation of identity, is an important method to guarantee the network security. Combining with cryptology, many experts and scholars, both at home and abroad, present various authentication schemes, among which some are dependent on authority, some have poor security and others are complicate. This paper puts forward a new authentication scheme based on discrete logarithms, which has the characteristics of high security, simplicity and is easy to be carried out in distance education.
