The Research And Development Of User Authentication Based On The User's Fingerprint

Authentication is the first barrier of the network/information system security field. It is a key field in the information age. Biometrics characterized by fingerprint is an increasing development trend of user authentication, and has promising application in fouture.After summarizing the traditional development and technical character about user authentication, the user fingerprint identification and the authentication protocol are analyzed and studied deeply. Furthermore, the paper how to design and develop a new and practical user authentication system based on user' s fingerprint is discussed by referencing the international advanced technology & production. The system not only resolves the principals authentication but also assures the confidentiality and integrity of the user' s lived fingerprint in the network system. In a word, by integrating the user' s fingerprint identification with the cryptological authentication protocol, a secure, reliable and effective approach to identifying the users in the network environment can be provided.
