| Distance education has undergone three historical stages of correspondence education, radio and TV education and modern distance education. In the end of the 20th century, two-way interactive e-learning made the distance education run to the modern distance education. It was on the basis of computer network technology and satellite communication technology and used multimedia technology as the primary means. The effect and level of distance education had reached an unprecedented height and distance education had become a new trend of education development all over the world. However, in the use of modern distance education system for online instruction, Q & A, homework correcting, discussion, examination, fee submitting as well as remote management process, there are many security risks. So the study of modern security system for distance education is very important. And the authentication system is the basis of network security. Technologies such as data encryption, access control or other network security technology must be based on the effective authentication. Otherwise, once the attacker gets legal status, all security settings will become invalidated.Authentication technology is the technology to identify the sender and receiver of information and it is the first door to protect the safety of network information resources. Its task is to identify and verify the legitimacy and authenticity of user, and legal users can be authorized to system resources while illegal visitors out. It is obvious that authentication is the most basic in the security system and other security services have to be dependent on it.In this paper, on the basis of both at home and abroad in-depth analysis of the status of authentication system and considering deficiencies in distance education system used by authentication technology, a two-factor authentication based on the mobile phone is proposed. And the methods of authentication steps adapt to distance education are also put forward. |
