Research On OGSA-Based Analogy Generation Service

OGSA (Open Grid Services Architecture) is called the next generation grid architecture. It evolves from the early five levels hourglass model architecture. Building on concepts and technologies from the Grid and Web Service communities,this architecture defines a uniform exposed service semantics (Grid Service). A basic premise of OGSA is that everything is represented by a service:a network enabled entity that provides some capability through the exchange of messages. Computational resources,storage resources,networks,programs,databases,and so forth are all services. Analogy reasoning is one of the important themes in artificial intelligence. It simulates the way of human-being thinking,especially the human-being's image-thinking. Analogy generation is an extended form of analogy reasoning in designing fields,and it is a generation-oriented analogy reasoning. It unbinds the analogy from its early learning and simulating capability,and gives the analogy the generation ability in designing fields.The development of network technology leads the artificial intelligence to a new phase:the networking intelligent technology. With the emerging of grid computing technology,especially the OGSA's proposition,it becomes an important direction of networking intelligence that the composition of grid technology and traditional artificial intelligent technology. Since every resource can behave a grid service in the architecture of OGSA,analogy generation,a generation-oriented analogy reasoning also can behave a kind of grid service,because it also is a kind of resource,further more,a kind of reasoning resource. So the dissertation proposes OGSA-based analogy generation service,which incapsulates the process of analogy generation. The OGSA-based analogy generation service is make up of four service about it:FindAnalogySourceService -. GenerationService .. ReuseService and AnalogyGenerationService.Next,a analogy generation model building on OGSA is given on the base of the four services. We also use WSDL to describe the four services and give an analogy generation based product innovation example to demonstrate the creation,executionand destroying of the service. Finally,this dissertation proposed an analogy prototype system supporting product designing and its architecture was analyzed. We also use RDF to represent two important analogy resources:patent and product case,and an example that only takes patent as its analogy resource was given.
