Industrial Computerized Tomography (ICT) technology, characterized by visualization, precision and non-destruction, is mainly applied to the field non-destructive detection in industry. The most important factors for accurate detection include: to get tomographic projection data by scanning the object first, then reconstruct tomographic image from the data by image reconstruction algorithm. The image is usually not so available for the measurement or analysis, a software system must be used to enhance and analyze the reconstructed image. This paper discusses such a system called ICTIPS (ICT Image Processing System), which is used as software to reconstruct image from tomographic projection data, then make analysis and process the image, obtaining detail information about object being scanned.On the basis of investigation and research about the technology of reconstruction for ICT image up-to-date, this paper is devoted to develop an algorithm for image reconstruction based on wavelet theory. In this paper, time-frequency distribution for spatially varying filter was used to construct convolve-kernel by DWT, to modify convolve-back-projection algorithm. Moreover, the corresponding program for computer is designed. The computational results of the examples show that the algorithm can reduce noises, and the reconstructed tomographic images are very visual clear, with perfect image character.The system analysis, system design of ICTIPS software, and some key technical aspects, such as float scale stretch, about ICTIPS are also discussed in the paper which gives unique features for ICTIPS.
