Wavelet Theory And Its Application To Image Processing

Wavelet analysis is an effective analytical instrument, which has aroused thehighly attention of scientists and researchers in various fietds and sugjects. resultingin notable achievements. And digital image processing by the aid of wavelet analysisis one of the hot issues of wavelet research and application.After a brief description of the history of wavelet development and the basictheoretical knowledge of wavelet, this paper makes valid probe towards digital imageprocessing using wavelet. Biorthogonal wavelet and multiw爒elet bear highapplication value in image processing. This paper puts forward a construcing methodfor biorthogonal dual wavelet through an analysis of the properties of biorthogonalwavelet and finds a concrete example of biorthogonal dual wavelet and also attemptsto de-noise biorthogonal dual wavelet. The existence of noise image severely affectsthe effect of image processing, so the paper provides a new method for thresholdingestimation and two de-noise approaches. The former is easy to calculate and realize,and the combination with the latter in the experiment achieves better results. Thepaper also .suggests a coding algorithm of multiresolutional two-scale classifiedvector quantization for the image after de-noise processing and shortens the vectorlength of quantization coding by fully using the correlation of various scales andAifferent directions. And the paper finally studies the good points of image noise andpresents a method for low frequency part embedding watermarks through an analysisof the parameters using image's various scales, with watermarking image very robustproved by the experiment.
