This paper expounds the evolution and development of the network computing model, discusses the new technology about distributed computing. In this thesis, the concepts and principles of distributed object computing technology and COM+ standard are introduced with windows DNA architecture. On the foundation of that, the paper discusses the implementation method of a management system for universities based on the campus intranet. At last, it provides a distributed workflow system model based on database, the UML model is designed and combined with above technology. Through this development method, the application system is thought as the set of service that is consisted of one or more COM+ components. These COM+ components are physically distributed in different places and are reused by the needed application system. So that the application system in wide area is easily integrated, upgraded and faced by multiple users.
