Predictive Control Of Linear Time-Delay System

Modern Control Theory based on state-space theory had been developed remarkably since the beginning of 1960s, and it gave a positive role to the development of automatic control technology. Commonly, the practical industrial procedure always has nonlinear, time-varying, and non-certain characters. To deal with the above problems, predictive control is being developed. Predictive control have gotten good practical effect in kinds of complex production procedure. The prediction control problem for discrete time-delay system and continuous time-delay system with sinusoidal disturbance is concerned in this paper. Chapter 3 is to remove the time-delay from a discrete system with control time-delay by predictive control. The state predictive observer and optimal predictive controller for the discrete delay system based on a state space model are presented. A full-dimension state predictive observer for discrete system with control time-delay is first structured. Then it is applied to a multi-step model predictive controller in optimal control fashion. Frequency, time domain analysis and simulation shows that the system is feasible. Optimal predictive control to damp oscillation for linear time-delay systems with external sinusoidal disturbances is considered in Chapter 4. A full-order state predictive observer for time-delay systems by using the control vector and the predictive output vector of the controlled plant is structured. Based on the state predictive observer, a feedforward and feedback predictive controller in optimal control fashion is then designed. Frequency and time domain analysis shows that the system is efficient.
