The thesis focuses on the design and realization of the common report tool control named ReportCtrl. The details are as follows:Firstly, the development and requirement for the common report tool are summarized by the writer and a solution is brought forward.Secondly, some essential technologies that used while developing the control, such as OLE, COM/DCOM, ActiveX, ATL and ADO are introduced respectively.Thirdly, the whole idea about the control is described in detail, and then the control's interfaces and key data structure are designed.Fourthly, in the most important part, each module of this program, such as the report editing, data banding, report template managing, as well as report printing and previewing are introduced in detail. And also the flow charts of the key modules are given in this part.Finally, we discuss how to register and use the control, also give an applied instance of this control. And by the given instance, the comprehensive test of this control is waltzed through.
