This paper studies the application of new type of DCS in process control of gas thermoeiectrical plant.This paper firstly discusses the current state and deficiencies of fieldbus, and the structure of network and communication system, analyzes the trend, emphasizes on the application of Profibus-DP, Modbus/RTU protocols in thermoeiectrical plant, and puts forward that adopts this kind of fieldbus control system technique to realize the design method and system configuration of DCS control. Finally this control method is applied to actual DCS control system. Pointing to current actual state, a detail design scheme is put forward.There so many communication devices in DCS control system, and every kind of protocol is various, such as RS232, RS485, MODBUS, PROFIBUS-DP and OPC technique and so on, which makes it difficult to communicate among various control systems and results in the incompletion of the monitoring data about the boiler unit. So it is a key in the whole design plan to solve the communication among control systems. Therefore, this paper analyzes the hardware and software design in detail, and bringsforward a reasonable and reliable communication design plan to reduce the cost of system and improve the automation level.This paper also analyzes the load control of generating electricity unit in detail. Gas turbine plays a role of responding quickly and load control, but the respondence speed of steam circulation system is slower relatively. If traditional PID controller is adopted to control load, the output of gas turbine is easy to vibrate so as to make system unstable. Thus, this paper designs a new type of load control circuit to improve control performance. In addition, this paper also analyzes the coordination between DCS system and electric defence system so that ensure the reliability of system.
