A design of digital video collector,communication replay system with wavelet,Universal Serial Bus and is discussed in this thesis. It includes design of hardware and software .The design of hardware including: A Digital Video Codec/Decodec chip(ADV611) produced by AD Inc. based on Wavelet transform; A USB controller(PIDUSB12) collecting the compressed Digital Video signal; A Spread Spectrum Platform (AT-340DSH) sending/receiving the Spread Spectrum signal; and a DSP controlling the all system . The design of software including: MAXPLUS designing the CPLD,s inner logical circuit; CCS(Code Composer Studio) Debugging the program of the DSP system .An advantage of wavelet-based Video compression is that it offers more graceful image degradation at high compression ratios, and it also eliminates the block artifacts seen in DCT compression. The wireless channel based on Spread Spectrum modulation can assure the digital Video signal communication safe and withstanding the high noise disturbing condition. Additionally, the high flexibility USB plug-and-play interface makes this Video collector very easy-of-use.
