With the rapid development of computer and network technology, information security and copyright protection of the digital media have become an urgent problem. As an important means to protect the digital media effectively, the digital watermarking technique has become a hot research topic. The first general DSP chip was put out in 1980s, with a hard multiplier which is different from common micro-processor. With the great progress and a series of breakpoint in VLSI technologies, in now days as a special element to digital signal processing, DSP is widely used on many field such as multimedia, telecommunication. DSP has many advantages, such as compactness, low power cost, high working speed and low price.In this paper, a practical application about how to realize watermarking system based on DSP hardware platform is proposed. The DSP hardware implement of the digital watermarking is the direction which makes the digital watermarking go for application, and will stimulate the further development of digital watermarking.Firstly, the background and overview of digital watermarking are introduced; then, based on the wavelet analysis theory and spread spectrum theory, an image spread spectrum watermarking based on adaptive wavelet transform is introduced.Secondly, based on the DSP hardware implement of the digital watermarking, the paper researches on the structure characteristics of the related DSP, and also researches on the development environment of hardware and software .Then thesis introduces the developed tool: ccs.And then, the thesis summarized the theoretic algorithm and system structure discussed above, and designed an image watermarking processing system. I finish the DSP application programs with the development tool CCS of DSP, and optimize the program with several optimization techniques.Lastly, the paper does a testing on the image watermarking processing system by DSP. The result from the testing approve that the system is flexible, the system can accomplish watermark embedding and detecting.
