The presented dissertation mainly discusses the non-linearity existing in monostation and multistation radar measurement. The first part of this dissertation integrated the non-linearity with the uncertainty of measurement system, and presents a secondary order filter for correcting measuring variance while the measurement equation is non-linear. By comparing the filter error of extended Kalman filter with that of secondary order filter, we find the filter performance of these two filters are almost same. The second part of this dissertation presents an optimum path synthesizer of distributed multistation radar track system. In a first step, the augmented measurement vector, also called optimum path synthesizer, is introduced to the distributed measurement system. Then a correcting least square path synthesizer is presented by analyzing the relationship between optimum path synthesizer and least square path synthesizer. Finally, the above results are all introduced to the distributed multistation radar track system with non-linear measurement equation based on the formal system. The paper is concluded by discussing the different effects of non-linear transformation on centralized multistation radar system and distributed multistation radar system.
