Image analyze is one of the important factors to improve the understanding of image. Recognition of vehicle's license plates based on imaging analysis and character recognition is the important application of computer vision and patter recognition in the intelligent traffic field,and it is also the core technology in the intelligent transportation system. Because the inherent complexity of recognition,the key to improve the recognition rate depend on how to improve the vehicle characters' analyze result.In this article,the wavelet transform is used to improve the recognition ability of vehicle's characters recognition system,because the "microscope" feature and similar-human vision feature can be used in the image analyze. Three problems have been solved in this article:(l) The core method of recognition is to realize the extraction of stable feature of characters,the algorithm of wavelet feature vector has been given based on the directivity decompose of 2-dimention wavelet transform,varied grid feature vector has been built too according to the multi-mode owned by the characters. (2) The key to improve the processing time is the multi-scale feature used to accelerate the binary-process. (3) Apery intelligent character cognitron has been given based on the varied-grid feature vector and multiplayer and multi-mode of cognition psychoanalysis.Research show that wavelet varied-grid feature vector is characterized by high-stable and high-distinguish. Based on this vector the apery cognitron has solved the harmony of single-classifier and multi-classifier and the harmony of multi-feature. The data shows that the recognition rate and reliability has been effective improve.The methods of analyze and recognition in this article has a certain reference for improve of the character recognition system.
