On The Journalists's Subjcetive Initiative In Public Opinion Supervision

Just as the other activities of news media, the public opinion Supervision also involves the two essential factors: the events and the journalists. The factor of the events refers to the news facts which cam- out the public opinion Supervision. The factor of the journalists refers to the senders who cam- out the public opinion Supervision. This thesis discusses the role of the senders, especially the journalists, in the process of public opinion Supervision and the way how it works.Firstly,the public opinion Supervision is indispensable to the subjective initiative role of the journalists. In reality, the subjective initiative of the journalists is carried out in this way: in the process of the public opinion Supervision, the journalists' subjective initiative role is realized through their sense of social responsibilities, independent stand, news sensitivity and apprehension, mental state of humanistic concern, mode of thinking, awareness of participation, emotion and so on.Secondly, while w7e emphasize the journalists' subjective initiative role we should prevent the journalists from abusing their subjective initiatives. So in the process of public opinion Supervision, the journalists' subjective activities should be limited by their awareness of medium, awareness of gatckccping. awareness of objectivity, awareness of law and professional morality etc.The reason for this thesis paying close attention to the fator of persons in the process of public opinion Supervision is to find out how the public opinion Supervision is carried out from this perspective.
