| In recent several years, the mobile communication and Internet have been developed in a swift and violent speed, and the amount of users of them is increasing remarkably. Now, the second generation mobile communication system (such as GSM, IS-95) supporting speech service mainly is faced a tremendous challenge that some limitations of this system, e.g. global roaming capability, frequency spectrum and bandwidth, appear gradually. However, the 3rd generation mobile communication system can resolve these problems. Based on the present research, the full-IP network is considered as a trend of the third generation mobile communication system.In this thesis, the research about QoS in the full-IP UTRAN is presented. A IP QoS controlling mechanism based on the DiffServ is proposed in the full-IP UTRAN and the simulation of this mechanism is performed on the simulation platform of OPNET. The results show that this mechanism is helpful to improve the ability of supporting multimedia services and guarantee QoS, and that the QoS parameters can satisfy the requirements of UTRAN basically. |
