| The study of this paper is derived from military project: VHP Frequency Hopping Radio. In this paper, we mainly discussed with development of the synchronization control part. The platform of synchronization control is a IF digital processing module based on DSP. The method that prefixes the synchronization information words to voice information or data is applied in the synchronization scheme. Meanwhile, we use TOD as primary synchronization information to realize the synchronization of frequency hopping, and by inserting guard information to keep synchronization and make delay entry available. Moreover, we can ensure the data transmission well when we connect radio to terminals such as PC, etc. The good performance of hardware platform ,the rationality of synchronization scheme and perfect design of hopping patterns bring the good synchronization performance and anti-jamming performance to our radio. The results are also indicated by experiments.Final, we realized frequency hopping synchronization by DSP software programming. The programs are accomplished using the way of modularization design based on radio functions. This control method is propitious to the processing of digital signals, and is possesses advantages of flexibility and openness, which makes the renovations and improvements on functions and performances of the radio more easily.
