Research And Implementation Of The Web Database Application Technology Based On XML

With the developing of the Internet technology, we need more and more web information. Creating websites with high performances is the result of the development of the web technology and application, because the demand of the web database's dynamic interchangement and querying is more and more.This paper analyses the characteristics and shortness of the distributed system during its development and points out the problems Brower/Server model faced during the internet era.HTML success in the man-machine interface but is disadvantage to the interchangement between the machines. It has some defaults, such as difficulty in extending and interchanging, bad semantic and single-directional hyperlink ?XML is flexible but HTML is short of. XML has not unchanged format which HTML has. XML provides an efficient method for the application based on web, permitting data-exchangement between the heterogeneous databases and providing users the choices of the browseing manner.ASP is the short for Active Server Pages. It is an envirement and technology of the web application on the serverside. The most advantage is that it can integrate with ActiveX, espesically ADO. ASP interchange with the backend database with the help of ADO.In order to comply with the developement of the web application and consummate the B/S system, this paper analysis the shortcoming of the HTML during its transfering information and advantages of the XML. After analysising the database technology, we try to integrate the XML and ASP, provide a solving schema. That is using ASP to interchange with the database and using XML to disply the data.According to the solving schema, this paper accomplished a living example by intergrating XML and ASP. The purpose is to solve the difficulity during the teaching and is a teaching-research item of the Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
