With the laser coming out, optics get a great progress. Especially the fiber and the photic apparatus were used abroad in modern communications and fiber sensors.Owing to the advantages of fiber, such as high bandwidth, low attenuation, anti-interference in electromagnetism, etc., fiber is used in living and yield. The photic apparatus are becoming important part in the communication system and fiber sensors.With the subjects supported by Beijing, we analyze the theory of fiber communication and sensors.I .For the shortage of traditional broadband source , such as bad mode, can not coupling with single-mode fiber, etc. According to the need, we manufactured a broadband Er+3-doped fiber super fluorescence source. It can easily couple with fiber transducer and has a good stability.II .Using the average refractive index and the characteristics that the Grid cycle is sensitive to outside parameter, we can turn the change of outside into the moving of Bragg wavelength. In fact it is a fiber modulating-sensor. It has many advantages such as good dependability, anti-interference in electromagnetism, high-sensitivity, light in weight and so on. It is a good choice to use fiber grating to measure the strain in building. We have measured the strain based on an equal-intensity beam and contrast between the measuring result of fiber grating and traditionally strain foil of eclectic resistance.
