Since the first fiber grating was fabricated in 1978, the fiber grating technology had been developed rapidly. This dissertation describes the progression in theory, experiment, and related works about FBG and its application that I have carried out during the past three years. It includes tunable FBG system and interrogation of FBG sensor.Main contents are classified as follows:1,A briefly introduce of the recent developments of fiber grating fabrication technology,classify and some component of fiber grating is presented in this article.2,Several theory analysis method for fiber grating properties is well introduced, the spectrum properties of uniform Bragg fiber grating,distributed feedback fiber grating,F-P cavity,Tophat fiber grating,sampled fiber grating,chirped fiber grating and apodization of fiber grating is simulated by using these method.3,A systematic overview of fiber grating tuning technology is presented, and several tuning method is compared theoretically。The linearly tunable FBG that utilizes a cantilever beam and its application is introduced in detail, such as tunable circular cavity fiber grating laser,tunable filter system controlled by computer,and interrogation of fiber grating sensor, and so on.4,Fiber grating sensor,interrogation technology of fiber grating sensor and multiplex technology of fiber grating sensor is briefly introduced in this article. The interrogation of fiber grating sensor with tunable FBG filter system controlled by computer is well introduced. By using this interrogating method, we finished experiment of fiber grating sensor WDM and SDM. And a scheme of dynamic measure is bring forward in this article.
