For military use and the civil use, All-number Simulation System need to possess the multimedia show effect. If take all kinds of multimedia data in one database, it is probably inconvenient in managing. Because the fact that, the data is big and the type is many and real time, It will emerge "bottle neck" problem in the visit course. To resolve the problem, we take the measure of Interoperability technology. In this method, we take the format data stored in the relation database(RDB), multimedia data stored in the multimedia database(MDB). It is one of the way to solve the "bottle neck" problem mentioned above.The multimedia data is unformatted data and have the time character and space character, so the tradition interoperability model can not adapt to these characteristic. The interoperability technology apply to the RDB and MDB is quite different from that of tradition database system.With military simulation and visual application background, This subject research interoperability technology apply to RDB and MDB.The paper introduce the implementation way of interoperability technology apply to RDB and MDB. The paper also introduce the global data model and language technology and multimedia multi-database manage system and implementation technology of protosystem.The emphasis of the paper is the research of model operation of global data model. It is also very difficult to resolve. We particularly describe the definition of model operation of global data model, the implementation method of model operation in the global data model language.Based on the protosystem of C/S architectural structure, This paper describe the implementation scheme of multiplayer distributed structure protosystem based on CORBA.
