A Component Model Based On UML-RT

The component model is an important concept in the Component-Based Software Development (CBSD) technology. It describes the software architecture of applications through specify the interfaces and implementations of components as well as the relationships between them. There are some kinds of Architecture Description Languages (ADLs) with particular component models.UML has been a standard established by OMG, And the UML RT, which is an extension of UML, can be used in the software developments for the real time systems such as C3I applications.According to the requirements of software development from C3I applications, this paper presents a component model fit in with the 3C Model. This model has been specified and represented on the UML RT meta-model so that the UML RT is extent into a higher abstract level for components and a set of component-based tools compatible with UML RT are integrated into the Rose RT. A sample about radar's message dispose in the C3I domain has been realized using such tools.
