Based on portable computers and built-in digital-converting-to- analog PC card, this paper has developed monolithic protection testing system. Its main functions include frequency conversion testing, full group testing, fault reappearance testing and transformer dynamic simulation testing. The system adopts closed ioop testing scheme of off- line computation and real-time delivering data. After testing data have been computed, transformed to expected forms and saved to extended memory m PC, the system proceeds with on-line closed loop testing, which takes testing data from specific memory blocks according to relay action situation. After testing relay, it can save real-time testing data to specific files and draw them to plots, which is convenient to analyzing and inspecting the testing process for users. The system can provide not only conventional static testing function, but also transient testing, which provides convenient testing measure for developing and testing monolithic protection units.
