To adapt the progress of power market, the reliability assessment of composite power system is studied from the view of operation, and the correspondent software platform is exploited in this thesis. The software numerically simulates system operation with sequential Monte-Carlo method. According to the states of all components, such as transmission lines, transformers, breakers, generators and buses, the reliability indexes are calculated from the abundant statistics data. At the same time, the software can also rapidly identify the network topologies and simulate time varying loads when multiple faults take place. The software platform has tested the reliability indexes of composite power systems on IEEE 24 bus Reliability Test System. Moreover, the reliability value is preliminarily researched on the software platform.
