With the accelerate growth of the high-performance computers~ computaiional electromagnetics made and is still making substantial progress. Among all the methods, the FDTD method attracts more and more attention because of some of its t~atures.In this article, firstly, we summarize the merits of the algorithm to show its feasibility for general electromagnetic simulation. Still we make a rough comparison of the popular Fl)TD software to determine how to begin with. After we fflus~te the function of this software, we show some ways to upgrade it. Some user may want to know more about the P1)11) method, so in chapter 2, we bring up the principle of the algorithm, analysis some of the ticklers we met during the prqject and show how we settled them. The following chapter concerns the development and user manual of the software. We show the ad~rantage and weakpoints of the three programming languages and the principle of development Then we demonstrate how to run the software. Even we show how the software works when lhe user runs the simulation, which is always a lack-box?when using other software. In the last chapter, there are some testing examples and the results are listed there.AD in all, the FDTh) method has great advantage in the development of general EM simulation software. Yet because of the deficiency of the author knowledge and time limitation, there are still much room for the software development But we hope we have made a positive contribution for the following researcher to further improve the software.
