This paper introduces the design and implementation of the process to Fortranlanguage in the bottom model of the parallel software performance monitoring and analysistool. The parallel software performance monitoring and analysis tool is a software toolkit thatcan execute the performance measurement on Fortran or C parallel applications that useinformation transfer program which now use is PVM and MPI communication library. By thedetailed analysis of parallel program executing process, it can uncover system behavior and toanalyze the factors and bottleneck affecting the execution efficiency on parallel applicationsand to take advamage of specific application characteristics and hardware features. This paperforrlays the stress on illtrOducing how.to stwt with the bottom program, that is to say how toconvert Fothe language prograrn to some sort of middle model which can convenient theupper model to look uP and insert the monitoring poillt, and provide the uPper model with afunction librny the can bring convenience to the operation to the middle model.
