~Wavelet transform now is~pplied to the sequential image coding. The conventional methods based on DCT Transform and Motion Compensation have lots of defects. First of all ,the Motion Compensation shows distinct block effect when the compression ratio increases. Secondly, the estimation efficiency decreases when the pictures of the image sequence change quickly, which reduces the compression ratio and is not fit for the apply of low bps. There is also the method of 3D wavelet transform whose transform in and between the frames is separated. This method lacks a uniform description of the relation of all the wavelet coefficients. Here we produce a method based on 3D wavelet transform and Hierarchical Zerotree Scan. It presents a better restore image quantity from the outcome of the research.
