With the development of the industrial processes, control objects become more and more complex. There are many problems which exist high nolinearity, time-variation and uncertainty, made the traditional control methods based on precise mathematical models difficult to satisfy the control demands. Fuzzy control, as a branch of intelligence control, with the characteristic of high imitating human intelligence and the peculiarity of not relying on mathematical models enable it become an important method for difficult control problems. In order to shorten the development period and improve the efficiency of developing fuzzy control systems, to solve the problem of advanced fuzzy control theory divorcing from behindhand project practice at present, a fuzzy control system development tools(FCDT) based on programmable controller(PLC) has been designed by using Object Oriented Programming method. It integrates many functions including designing, analyzing, debugging and simulating. FCDT provides friendly man machine interface(MMI), intuitionistic and visual view of fuzzy controller structure, graphical membership functions editor , convenient rules editor; offering five fuzzification methods and three defuzzification methods , the users can free to combine them into different fuzzy algorithm. Some technical innovation has been acquired in assembling fuzzy control and traditional control, implementing embedding fuzzy control intotraditional control system and run them together.In the end of this dissertation, we tested and verified thefunctions of FCDT and the feasibility of the embedding technique byreal-time controlling a resistance furnace with single phase risingtemperature, large time delay, nolinearity and time-variationparameter. It can be believed that FCDT will take very important rolein accelerating fuzzy control application and converting fuzzycontrol into practical productivity.
