The Synthetic Impulse and Aperture Radar (SIAR), a new style VHF thinning arrays~ has an excellent capacity of countering stealthy aircrafts. However, due to the inherent feathers of VHF, this type of radar is too subject to jammers to work well. So, it is an important aspect of the SIAR to improve the capacity of anti-jammers of VHF radars. The Adaptive Digital Beamforming (ADBF), an effective technology of cancellatingjammers, has become an important aspect of the future radars. Studing the ADBF and appling it to the SIAR become the topic of this paper. The existing algorithms of the ADBF is studied, the merits and demerits of these algorithms are discussed, and the simulations applying these algorithms to the SIAR are given. Because of no jammer for the experiment, the janlmer signal, mainly the amplitude modulation jammer, has also been discussed in this paper. The simulating model of the amplitude modulation jammer is presented and the validity of the model is validated. It is the base for validating the algorithms of the ADBF, and debugging the hardware circuit.
