It is an indisputable fact that the phenomenon of cultural pluralism has existed in China. It Should be recognized that cultural diversity has its historical inevitability and also has its positive side. We also, however, find that the existence of cultural diversity has had some negative impacts on social development in China. Among them, an important embodiment of the negative effects of cultural diversity is the impact on ideological and political education in secondary vocational schoolsGenerally speaking, multi-cultural values that has had some negative impacts on ideological and political education in secondary vocational schools are mainly hedonism, money worship, utilitarianism, egoism, pragmatism, liberalism, historical nihilism, post-colonial cultural, ethnic separatism and so on.The impact of Multi-cultural values on the ideological and political education in secondary vocational schools mainly reflected in the following aspects:First, it posed the challenge of the ideological and political education work,which made unprecedented complexity of ideological struggle in secondary vocational schools, which also made the conflict of Chinese and Western cultural values more direct, intense, and weaken the Marxist mainstream consciousness, but also had a threat to China's cultural security.Second, it posed the challenge of the healthy development of student's thinking, which resulted in the crisis and division of student's spirit and faith and moral anomie and made the dilemma of ideological and political education.Third, it caused student's political awareness apathy, lack of ideals and beliefs, advocating self-indulgent, personal happiness supreme, it also caused offset values, social responsibility diluted, the national consciousness weaken, blinding worshiper of foreign things, and evil thoughts development tendencies such as vulgar aesthetic taste and impetuous aesthetic psychology.In addition, under the impact of cultural diversity, some studennts in secondary vocational schools relieved the natural spirit of human beings in a certain extent. They reversed the position of noble and despicable and elegant and vulgar, promoted the non-rational ethics. They showed fragmented survival approaches and cultural pursuits which alienated from mainstream culture, or performed impetuous, radical tendencies, which seriously counteracted the positive role of the mainstream culture objectively.Faced of the impact of cultural diversity, secondary vocational schools must adapt the development of a multi-cultural society and innovative ideological and political education, which can promote continuous development of the ideological and political education in secondary vocational schools and ensure a successful conclusion of the goals and tasks of ideological and political education,.Meeting the challenges of cultural diversity, the innovation of the ideological and political education in secondary vocational schools should be from the following aspects:First, the philosophy of ideological and political education should be innovatived. Second, the dominance the field of Marxism in the ideological and cultural field should be strengthened. Third, the value-oriented of ideological and political education should be established correctly. Fourth, the content of ideological and political education should be expanded. Finally, the method of ideological and political education should be improved.
