Economic globalization inevitably leads to the diversity of culture.With the reform and opening up continuously deepening,cultural diversity has become a trend of social and cultural development in China.The rapid development of mobile digital technology facilitates international cultural exchanges.Social thoughts,lifestyle,code of conduct and values abroad rapidly swarm into China through the Internet,new media and other channels,bringing many value evaluation standards and codes of conduct to several areas of our society.Conflicts are intensified between domestic mainstream culture and non-mainstream culture,domestic traditional culture and Western modern culture,as well as domestic elite culture and popular culture.Multi-culture enriches cultural life of college students,but it also increases blindness and confusion of students' choices,and influences the value orientation,mode of thinking,behavior style of college students as well as their attitudes and cognition towards ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities.This paper employs literature research,questionnaire,interview and case method,and attaches much importance to linking theory with practice.Based on referring to lots of literature related to this subject,the paper makes a brief overview of relevant theories about multi-culture as well as ideological and political theory course,takes undergraduate students in Nanjing Tech University as the research object,and then designs questionnaires.To ensure a more in-depth investigation and research,the author,on the basis of questionnaires,has visited some students to summarize the situation of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities under multi-culture background.Through statistics and analysis of the questionnaire data,combining with interview results of some students,The author believes ideological and political theory course incolleges and universities under multi-culture background mainly faces the following difficulties.Views of the world,life and value of some students are adversely affected,so their political faith suffers crisis and mainstream ideology tends to be more diversified.Multi-culture puts forward new requirements for the ideological and political theory course teachers' knowledge structure and teaching skills.Multi-culture has an impact on education of views of world,political value,morality and history.Ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities is poor in real-time interactivity,single in teaching method,weak in practicality and hard to satisfy students' diversified demands.Aimed at existing problems of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities now,the author proposes countermeasures from four aspects.Firstly,respecting the fact of cultural diversity and highlighting the status of socialist core values.Secondly,improving ideological and political theory course teachers' knowledge structure and enhancing their teaching skills.Thirdly,dialectically treating multi-culture and enriching teaching contents of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities.Fourthly,improving the teaching methods of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities in comparison with different culture.
