The Negative Influence Of Network Media On Middle School Students And Its Countermeasures

Network media, as a typical representative of new media, has brought a series of changes in education. Network media brings not only unprecedented opportunities and benefits but also lots of negative impacts on students'learning and communication. Especially the bad information that is hidden in network media hurts students, which has received much attention from various circles of society. Thus, it is both inevitable and necessary to minimize the negative impact on students.Based on the present situation of research on network media all around the world, this paper takes middle school students as object, analyzes advantage and disadvantage of network media, puts forward the significance of researching into negative influence of network media, summarizes the research progress in this area, and provides a useful reference basis for negative influence of network media on middle school students. Then, it theoretically analyses two aspects of network media and its negative effects on middle school students from the technology philosophy view point, and discusses possible passive mentality that might be present in using network media by middle school students.We validate negative effects on middle school students by investigating cases, and analyze its reasons for exerting negative influence. By analyzing the cases of network media on middle school, there are six respects as follows:(1) internet information explosion, dissimilating students' learning style; (2) violent and sensual blatant, warping students'moral selfhood;(3) network language permeation, weakening students'language learning; (4) network amusement addiction, injuring body and neglecting study; (5) mobile amusement craze, distracting students'learning effort; (6) mobile sensual spread, corrupting student pure mind. Taking the case of Yue Qing Furong Junior High School and Furong Senior High School, we study the negative effects of middle school students'health, moral fiber, learning cognition and language learning that come through in using network media by field interview and questionnaire survey.To lessen the negative influence on middle school students, this paper has put forward some countermeasures both from the perspectives of government, industry, school and students, and from the microscopic standpoint of technology, culture and environment, and then analyzes relevant strategy's feasibility.
