The Negative Influence Of Information Technology On Students And Countermeasure Research

The rapid development and wide application of information technology,especially multimedia technology and network communication technology have made tremendous contributions to the human social development and improvement.They also bring such an enormous impact on traditional classroom teaching,educational philosophy, educational model,and promote a profound revolution in the field of educational and teaching fields.Meanwhile,modern information technology brings not only unprecedented opportunities and benefits but also a lot of negative,passive impacts to students' learning,daily life and interpersonal relationships.This paper attempts to dig negative effects on students caused by the application of information technology in education systematically and comprehensively and analyses the reasons for these negative impacts carefully.On this basis,the author will probe into contermeasures to deal with these problems and reduce the negative impacts,so as to make information technology provide better services on education,teaching and students.First,based on today's age background about intense competition of technology and talents as well as the two-sided effect that information technology brings to the development of the students,this thesis points out the importance of guiding students to use information technology correctly.Secondly,this paper formulates the development of information technology after reading a large number of literatures,and gives a brief introduction about several application forms of information technology in education:computer-assisted instruction, information technology courses in primary and secondary schools,integration of information technology and discipline curriculum,web-based education.Moreover,the author points out that information technology can bring both beneficial and harmful effects on students in the information-based learning environments.Then,based on a large number of literature research,case studies,assisted by observation and individual conversation,the author deeply analyzes and discusses the negative effects on students caused by the application of information technology in education as following:(1)Students suffer a lot being indulgence in the network;(2)The alienation in learning styles caused by breeding laziness;(3)The crisis of information proliferation triggered by information explosion;(4)Crime increases because of the shrinking ethics;(5)Distant interpersonal relationship and solidary psychology;(6) Weakening sense of national identity brought out by the introduction of overseas ideologies.On the basis of above research,the author analyzes the causes of negative impacts on students from six aspects of school,family,society,government, entertainment industry and students themselves,then proposes solutions to these issues.Finally,the author gives a summary of the research achievements and shortcomings,and summarizes the application outlook of information technology in education.
