A Study Into Building A Management Mechanism In Coping With Uproars On A College Campus

The frequent outbreaks of uproars on college campuses have raised people's concern, and it poses a challenge in regard to building a management mechanism for college authorities. This paper rests its assertions on actual situations, and delves into serious thoughts on theoretic as well as practical measures in coping with of uproaring events on college campuses, in order to bring under a close scrutiny the characteristics and causes of the uproars, and management problems in dealing with these uproars. With a comprehensive analysis, the author will also puts forward some suggestions.This paper focuses on a management mechanism in coping with radical events in the light of the theory of crises management. It scrutinizes the present management problems, and anaylyzes the meaning, types, characteristics and inducing factors of campus uproars, and also basic content of management mechanism with successful management experiences from the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan; and puts forward the proposition of a three-support-system: framework, information management, regulations; and a three-step-solution: precaution and alertness, contingent dealings, evaluation and restoration of orders. The author writes from his personal experience in my college and the practical situations and makes his suggestions to Hainan College of Vocational Techniques.
