Seeing the past, the studies about family education of urban migrant population were mainly focused on peasant migrants and were quantitative researches, almost no one for upper classes. In recent years, the influxes of more and more new highly educated immigrants have settled in Shanghai and become the real "new Shanghainese", as a result of the policies of "the introduction of talent" and "retaining a large mount outstanding other provinces university graduates". Those"new Shanghainese'who are mostly at childbearing age have been breeding "the second generation of new Shanghainese". As the main force for future development of Shanghai, the developmental environment in the early years of these children is worth paying close attention. Then, how will the survival state and level of social integration of these "new Shanghainese" affect their parenting behavior? This is exactly what the question that the study tried to answer. The research tries to adopt qualitative research method, which interviewes three different cases of "new Shanghainese" family. That is "the spouse both are new Shanghaineses", "Shanghai daughter and outlander"& "Shanghai husband and outlander". Besed on the state of social integration of "new Shanghainese", this paper investigates the interrelationship among their experiences, survival condition and parenting status through the follow-up in-depth interviews. The result shows that several highly educated high status people, because of their own special experiencees and today's social status, pay a lot attention to the education of their children and are confident of their parenting ability. At the same time, they are also anxious about parenting on different degree. Although three "new Shanghainese" families with different marital structure are all grandparents'breeding, the specific patterns of the three families may differ not only from traditional local families but also from each other.Furthermore, the paper gives some suggestions in order to promote diversified family parenting guidance and service.
