| With the development of society, it's quite common to see that more and more grandparents play an important role in educating children, which is caused by various reasons. This phenomenon gradually shows both positive and negative influence. Our research lays emphasis on how grandparents' breeding levels and children's healthy growth can be promoted from the kindergarten point of view rather than whether it is rational.There is small quantity of research in this field both abroad and domestic, and present research achievements cannot meet the need of social development. However, in regard to the trait, the resource and the advantage of kindergarten, the research about grandparents' breeding levels should be taken seriously. In order to solve this problem, two procedures are to be followed: one is the analysis of characteristics of grandparents' breeding levels; the other is the further discussion based on previous analysis.This paper adopts the survey by questionnaire as well as some other methods in expectation to work out some valuable information by probing into grandparents' personalities, the characteristics of grandparents' families and their views on children and their education.The survey shows that grandparents of both paternal side and maternal side share the same percentage among which grandmothers occupy a larger half. Most of grandparents can afford time, money and energy to share the burden of educating children. At mean time, the possibility of regarding men as superior to women should not be neglected. The grandparents-dominant education leads to limited time of parents-children getting together. On average, children's parents mainly afford education expenses. And for the rest families, nearly half of it is from grandparents. Grandparents hold a rational attitude on children's expenses, but their spoiling children usually bring about high level of cost.The reasonable points of grandparents' views on children and their education can be represented as follows: being truly aware that security is children's basic need; managing to establish proper family environment for children; trying to make use of the educational value of family life; being able to cultivate the children with true feelings and practical experiences; fully realizing their importance in children education; paying great attention to the cultivation of children's behavioral habits and traditional virtues.Its disadvantages are: due to its one-sidedness, children's psychological health state ,the need of peer communication and other non-intellectual factors are tend to be overlooked; its property of utility causes children to be highly-expected; because of lacking of scientific guidance, children's research interests are always ignored; less attention are paid to the establishment of children's awareness of independence and self-reliance due to its over-protectionism; it also lacks democracy.Through the observation and interview of the grandparents, we find them to be greatly frustrated by problems as capriciousness, crying and screaming, timidity,etc.As for the characteristics of grandparents' views on children education, we think that kindergarten teaching staff must cooperate to take effective strategies to absorb the reasonable points and ameliorate its disadvantages. Based on the theory of "Integrated Education", this paper integrates kindergarten, family with community resources in terms of several aspects: guidance of kindergarten teaching staff on grandparents' breeding; kindergarten's intensive digging of community resources to help raise grandparents' breeding level; kindergarten's direct education on children.Kindergarten education advocates more parents to participate in this grandparents' children breeding and vigorously cooperate with them by offering necessary theoretical guidance. Direct and multi-dimensional guidance would be easier to get effects because the kindergarten teaching staff and the grandparents meet with each other everyday.Kindergarten education may help raise grandparents' breeding level by relying on community resources. Current education must step out to society and make good use of all available resources such as community resources to improve the current grandparents' breeding state.Kindergarten education and grandparents' education are mutually supplementary. Being imposed the general principle that education is devoted to children, kindergarten teaching staff has been paying their attention on them. Therefore, conscious compensatory education to children can raise grandparents' breeding levels better.Generally speaking, there is much room for improvement. By making full use of available resources and taking effective measures in connection with grandparents' breeding characteristics, it is believed that their breeding levels will be sufficiently enhanced which in turn can benefit children a great deal. Our discussion about these strategies is aimed to offer kindergarten teaching staff some practical aid in handling grandparents' breeding states. |
