Over the past decade, domestic and foreign scholars pay enough attention on the diversity of family cultural capital of the students in different social classes. However, the research on migrant workers and their families' culture capital is relatively lack. Based on the specific family education situation, this paper tries to use the triangulation to construct the migrant children's family cultural capital in Shanghai, with the help of mutual proofs from officials, principals, teachers, students' parents and students.The paper is composed of seven different chapters. The first chapter is introduction; firstly it gives the reason for choosing this problem and research objectives. Then it discusses the important concepts in this paper. Lastly, it is about the research methodology. The second chapter is about literature review, in which the domestic and foreign research on the measuring dimension of cultural capital and the family cultural capital of the uprooted labours' children are reviewed. It mainly discusses the family cultural capital of the uprooted labours' children which contains specific forms form the third to the fifth chapter. The third chapter analyze the ascribed-acquired cultural capital in which contains language habits and reading habits. The forth chapter emphatically elaborated the achieved-acquired cultural capital in which includes practicing calligraphy, the habit of finishing homework and the learning of talent and skill. The fifth chapter mainly discusses the ascribed-unlearned cultural capital and the achieved-unlearned cultural capital in which respectively includes educational background of parents and books fit as reading for primary school students. The sixth chapter is emphatically elaborated the division standard of dimension about the family cultural capital of the uprooted labours' children, while we also analyze the mechanism of action in the different types of family cultural capital. The seventh chapter is the study conclusion and discussion. Firstly, it systematically summed up research findings, then it comes to some conclusion based on the field investigation. The conclusion are as follow: first, the family cultural capital of the uprooted labours' children includes language habits,reading habits, practicing calligraphy, the habit of finishing homework, the learning of talent and skill, as well as educational background of parents and books fit as reading for primary school students. These forms of family cultural capital are not only exerting an influence upon the schoolchildren's academic achievements, more embodies the age-old Chinese traditional and elegant culture. Second, The third, the ascribed-unlearned cultural capital play its role in a one-way orientation; and the other three types of cultural capital process involving both sides of the cultural capital or multiple interactive and feedback, and go through a approved, feedback, supervision, and identification phase to achieve and strengthen their affect.
