Evaluation Study On The Risks Of University Students' Ideological And Political Education

Evaluation of risks of ideological and political education among university students has become a new subject with the development of theory and practice in university's ideological and political education. As information technology and globalization develop along with further reform and opening up, social environment is becoming more and more complicated and people's value orientations are more and more diverse, hence the greater risks of ideological and political education. Furthermore, university students are known as the group that has the most active social ideas, therefore, their ideological and political education is much more difficult with greater tasks and risks.Risk of ideological and political education among university students refers to the possibility of depature or loss between the actual effect and expected effect of college students'ideological and political education. It has the characteristics of objectivity, uncertainty, metrizability as well as concelment. And owing to the objectivity of contradiction, limitation of university ideological and political education and changes and development in the external environment, the risks exist in such factors as university political and ideological educators, the educated, education goals, education media as well as educational backgroundAs to the evaluation of risks of ideological and political education among university students, it refers to the value judgement activity according to the requirements and goals of university students' ideological and political education and based on specific standards and principles and it predicts the risk in the education process that affects the expected results. It can be classified into three kinds, namely evaluation of decision-making risks, evaluation of process risks and evaluation of efficiency risks. And it has such characteristics as uncertainty of evaluated targets, relativity of evaluation criteria and complexity of evaluation methods.Theoretical basis of evaluation of risks of university students' ideological and political education are Marxist theory on risks, evaluation of ideological and political education and Western theory on social risks. And the evaluation of risks of university students'ideological and political education should abide by the priciples of objectivity, dialectics and risk avoidance.The methods to evaluate the risk of university students'political and ideological education mainly include basic evaluation method and special evaluation method. Basic evaluation method includes methods of dynamic evaluation and static evaluation, methods of group evaluation and individual evaluation, qualitative evaluation method and quantitive evaluation method while special evaluation method consists of evaluation methods of tendency, of ratio and of factors and so on.The evaluation of risks of university students's ideological and political education should follow scientific procedures which mainly cover five steps, namely, first, to establish evaluation objectives; second, to establish systems of evaluation index; third, experts'assessment; fourth, result analysis; and last, evaluation of risks.
