The implementation of middle school geography curriculum, for the majority of frontline teachers with a broad free space and room for innovation, the new curriculum but how geography, truly quality education throughout the geography classroom teaching, it becomes a priority in many educators and grass-roots workers in the face of a serious problem. The rise of constructivist theory, the new curriculum for the geography classroom instruction designed to bring new ideas and teaching. How to reform the traditional teaching concepts, to promote active, open, effective teaching, this is the core concerns of teaching reform. In this paper, reflect on traditional teaching based on constructivist learning theory to try to guide the practice of geography teaching to promote high school geography teaching reforms.This article discusses a constructivist learning theory under the guidance of junior secondary school geography teaching design and practice, is divided into three parts: the introduction of constructivist theory of the research background and current situation, clear the purpose and significance; and the introduction of constructivist theory , and its the applicability of geography teaching design analysis, constructivism also analyzed the impact on teaching middle school geography; then systematically explored the geography of constructivism in instructional design principles, steps and methods, citing the constructivist learning theory to guide geography teaching junior high school under the design case, the constructivist learning theory in geography teaching design thinking through the whole process, including analysis of teaching objectives, the establishment of teaching content, analysis of teaching objects, teaching processes, and to a different geography teaching content, teaching model designed to explore, practice; Finally, teaching practice, the following conclusions: First, constructivism has the validity of the junior high school geography teaching. 1, constructivist teaching philosophy and junior high school geography meet the requirements of the new curriculum and good teaching effect; 2, constructivist teaching students enhanced consciousness, cultivate innovation; 3, constructivist teaching model to maximize excited middle school students interest in learning geography. Second, in research and practice also found some problems in this teaching model for deliberation and regret. 1, the changing role of teachers and students, higher levels of teacher competency requirements, increased the difficulty of teaching; 2, learning the changes difficult to adapt to some students; 3, the lack of teaching resources, restricting the implementation of constructivist teaching.
