Historical textbook is a part of basic education and constantly develop and change, the edition of 92 and 01 of People's educational publishing house are representative among them, the two are issued after implementing nine-year compulsory education. The edition of 92 make great efforts to reflect the union of knowledge, ability and ideological; and the edition of 01 regard the students' development as the centre, pay attention to train initiative spirit and practice ability. The textbooks of the two editions have much comparing no matter the content or the ideological content. This paper to evaluate and analyze the two editions following three respects.Part one "the comparison of textbook of the two editions", mainly to compare and analyze the style structure, layout and content of the historical textbook of the edition of 92 and 01.Part two "analyze the reasons of the textbook changes ", it is a difficult point of this paper and it analyzes them following four respects: First, the textbooks of the two editions are results of different periods, so they reflect the changes on the background of the era and the transition of guidelines. Second, the changes of the educational objective and the developments of syllabus are directly influenced the change of the content of the textbook. Third, the edition of 92 and 01 are both issued after implementing nine-year compulsory education, so they has reflected the popular basic and expand characteristics at the stage of compulsory education. Fourth, the policy of the course are the concentrated reflection of the national education, has directly stipulated the property and the trend of historical course, so the course brand of policy unavoidably in the textbook of different development and change period, The historical textbook plays an important role in the education in the middle and primary schools , meanwhile, the development of the textbook is the concentrated reflection of the modern education idea, and the inevitable outcome of the quality education development, too.Part three "the thinking after comparing ", through the comparison of the historical textbook of junior middle school of the two editions, to think the advantage and disadvantage among them. For instance, compared with the edition of 92, the edition of 01 pay attention to the development of students, and make definitely the initiative spirit, and carry on the discussion the weakness of the establishment of the theme, the structure of knowledge and so on. The aim of this paper is to compare the contents and style in the historical textbook of the junior middle school of the two editions of People's educational publishing house. Further thinking how to reflect the idea of the textbook that accords with studying and originally melting, expect to put forward elementary opinions to develop and complete the textbook on the background of the reform of the new course.
